   Austin launches new parking campaign

Dudley North MP Ian Austin has today launched his campaign for better parking for local residents in Sedgley.

Austin launched his campaign as a result of a meeting with local resident in which they spoke of the need for greater parking in their road to make their life’s easier and their road safer.

Austin has written to the council asking them to seriously investigate the improvement of parking in Townsend Avenue.

The problem residents and there families are facing is a lack of parking causing more people to resort to parking on double yellow lines or where they will be fined.

Residents want the council to find the resources to put the plans of a new car park into action soon.

Ian Austin said:

“I’ve worked really hard to make sure that local resident’s voices are heard and we can provide new parking for local people."

“Families are relying on parking spaces all the time and not worrying about fines, this is why we need this parking to help make living easier on working families”

“I want the council to listen to local people and acknowledge there opinions on the campaign"
