Ian Austin MP will be celebrating the contribution of small businesses in Dudley as part of this year’s Small Business Saturday.
Austin will be meeting the Federation of Small Businesses in Dudley Town centre on Saturday when local businesses will be showcasing their products in a day organised by Dudley Council who are providing stalls free of charge to those taking part.
Residents will be able to browse 20 stalls, alongside the usual market traders, of goods and products from businesses here in Dudley.
Austin will be meeting John Poole – Regional Chairman of the Federation of Small Businesses at about 1.00pm on Saturday 5th December.
Residents are being encouraged to ‘shop small’ and celebrate the contribution of entrepreneurs and small firms this weekend.
Launched in 2013, Small Business Saturday brought a boost to local high streets across the country with consumers being encouraged to ‘shop small’ and celebrate the contribution of entrepreneurs and small firms.
Ian Austin said:
“I’ll be in the town on Saturday shopping on the market as usual and backing our local small shops and independent businesses on Small Business Saturday. We should do all we can to thank them for the vital contribution they make to the local economy, adding to the local community and bringing visitors to the High Street.
“It will be fantastic to build on the success we achieved with Small Business Saturday in the last two years locally, which is why I’m getting fully behind the campaign again and giving my support to local businesses. There are lots of great businesses in Dudley and the campaign is a great way of raising awareness and helping boost trade.”
