Dudley MP Ian Austin has become a member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Entrepreneurship to encourage, support and promote entrepreneurship.
In recent years the group has worked on Tax Reform, Women in Leadership and Enterprise Education at Universities.
In particular, Austin is looking forward to working on one of the groups’ priorities for the next year, Enterprise Education at School, to look at how schools work with local businesses and promote apprenticeships.
Ian Austin said:
“We need to make education and skills our country’s number one priority so we can attract new businesses and jobs to replace those we have lost in traditional industries.
“I know there are already lots of young Entrepreneurs starting businesses in Dudley and I want to ensure they get the best experience to take them forward.
“So I’ll be pushing the Government to boost the number of businesses established in the black country and ensure that they get the investment and support they need”
