Austin quizzed by secondary school students in Parliament

Year 10 Citizenship students from Dormston school visited Parliament for a tour and Q&A session with Dudley MP Ian Austin.

Austin talked about his role in parliament before taking questions from the students on a variety of topics including mental health, the environment and crime.

Ian Austin said:

“Education needs to be our number one priority in Dudley, so I’m really pleased that the Dormston School came to Parliament and asked about my role as a local MP.

“I think it’s really important that young people get to see how Parliament works, where laws are made and get access to question their local MP.

“It was great to see young people so interested in what’s happening in the world around them and the current state of politics in the UK.”
