Dudley MP Ian Austin has responded to constituent concerns over speeding vehicles by asking the Police and Dudley Council to take action to reduce speeding along Cinder Road.
Residents contacted Austin with concerns about speeding vehicles, especially large commercial vehicles such as lorry’s and dumper trucks which are causing disruption.
Austin has written to all local residents in the immediate area to ask what measures they feel could be put in place to ensure the safety of local people.
He will be working with residents, the police and the Council to make sure a solution to people’s concerns is reached.
Ian Austin MP said:
“Cinder Road residents have told me that speeding on the road is so bad that they are concerned for the safety of road users and pedestrians.
“I am hoping that something can be done to combat the problem before a bad accident happens.
“I want as many residents to respond to the survey as possible so that I can pass the information on to the Council and the police”
