Dudley MP Ian Austin will join staff and volunteers at Dudley Advocacy and commend them for the good work they do for local people at their AGM.
Dudley Advocacy has helped hundreds of vulnerable residents across the Dudley borough and Ian will be thanking them for what they achieve for local people.
He will join them at their AGM on Friday 4th December from 10am at The Savoy Centre, Northfield Road, Netherton.
Dudley Advocacy works alongside people with disabilities, mental health problems and older people to ensure their voices are heard and their rights are met.
Advocates can provide help with tasks including letter writing and telephone calls. They can also support people at meetings, pursue complaints, or find out information on behalf of the person they are supporting, as well as being someone for them to talk to in confidence.
Ian Austin said:
“Dudley Advocacy has helped hundreds of residents and supported some of the most vulnerable people in Dudley.
“Small voluntary organisations like this provide some of the most needed services in Dudley on very limited funding. They provide excellent services and really good value for money.
“Volunteers are the back bone of any voluntary organisation, they give up their time to help others and I want to thank them for all they do in Dudley.”
