A new vintage shop in Dudley town centre is celebrating its opening with a Black Country Christmas event.
The Victorian-themed grand opening of Vintage Rose will take place from 12-4pm on Friday 5 December at Birdcage Walk in Dudley town centre. The event will feature carol singers, mince pies and mulled wine and will be attended by Dudley MP Ian Austin.
The shop is being established by Rose Cook, the producer of a documentary on Duncan Edwards, and will feature local history as well as selling vintage clothes and furniture.
Ian Austin will be joining the event at 12:30 on Friday 5 December at the shop’s entrance above Castle Collectables, Birdcage Walk, Dudley, DY2 7AE opposite The Co-op.
Rose Cook, the shop's owner, said:
“I love anything to do with history – from vintage clothes and furniture to keeping local stories about the Black Country alive.
“I want Vintage Rose to be a place for the community as well as a shop, so I’m laying on a warm Christmas welcome for our grand opening.”
Ian Austin said:
“It’s always great to see new businesses opening in Dudley town centre, and I’m pleased that Vintage Rose will also be a home for local history.
“I hope the shop does a roaring trade over Christmas and into next year.”
