Ian Austin MP

Labour MP for Dudley North

Cost of Living Survey

In just over a week George Osborne, Chancellor of the Exchequer is delivering his 2014 Budget.

In recent weeks I have been collecting evidence from local families on their personal experience of the rising cost of living. You may have already seen it and taken part. I intend to present this information to George Osborne in the next few days so he can read in black and white what is actually going on in places like Dudley.

This is important. I have worked at the Treasury, so I know it’s possible to change direction, follow a different course and make announcements that help rather than hinder families.

Please help by sparing a couple of minutes to answer a few more questions and let me know your views.

It will help me produce a more comprehensive report. I will of course share the results of both consultations with you.

What do you think the Chancellor's priorities should be in his Budget?
