Midthem is a family run company specialising in the production and engineering of flue systems, they employ around 150 staff at five factories in Dudley.

Austin and Tyler met with staff to see the work they are doing to design and manufacture flue systems for sites in the UK and around the world.

 Ian Austin said:

"Midtherm is a great example of a thriving business operating in Dudley and providing skilled jobs to local people.

"It is a great local business and I have done a lot of work with them recently to remove a huge pile of waste which was disrupting one of their manufacturing sites of Shaw Road.

"The company makes a great contribution to our local economy, so I was really pleased the Mayor could come to see work they do and products they engineer"

Mayor of Dudley Cllr Dave Tyler said:

"I was delighted to meet everyone at Midtherm as part of my pledge to visit 100 local businesses during my time as Mayor.

"I have met with lots of brilliant and innovative people running businesses in Dudley, it's a great pleasure to see the work they do and the success they are having"

Midtherm Operations Director Kevin Woodbine said

“Really appreciated  the visit from Mayor Cllr Dave Tyler and MP Ian Austin.

“It was nice to see genuine interest, enthusiasm and encouragement for Midtherm as a local employer and business.”
