Dudley MP Ian Austin will help behind the bar at the 1st Sedgley Scouts Beer Festival this Friday.
Austin will be helping from 6-7pm on Friday 25th September at the Scouts hut at the rear of the Co-op car park in Sedgley.
The MP is a member of the Campaign for Real Ale and has been taking part in local beer festivals for over 25 years.
Last year’s Sedgley Scouts Beer Festival saw visitors get through 2,000 pints in support of the Scout Group and local good causes. This year’s festival is taking place from 5-11pm on Friday 25th September and from 12-11pm on Saturday 26th September offering real ale, cider and wines as well as live entertainment.
Ian Austin MP said:
“I was a Cub Scout myself in Dudley, and I know from experience that the Scouts help young people to develop much needed life skills.
“Last year’s festival was really popular and raised lots of money for good causes, so I’m really pleased to help out by pulling a few pints.
“The Black Country is home to some of the best brewers in Britain like Holden’s and Fownes and brilliant pubs like The Beacon and The Jolly Crispin, so there should be some excellent beer on offer.”
