A Dudley technology wiz has created a new app to rate people on their driving.
Local IT student Brandon Freeman has created the new app called ‘Spot Check’ to help improve the quality of driving on the roads.
The service allows drivers to leave anonymous feedback against the registration of a car they have spotted on the road, and check to see if anyone has left a comment on their own driving. The app can be accessed on any device by visiting spotcheck.me.uk.
Dudley MP Ian Austin has asked motoring and cycling organisation to test drive the new service.
The app’s creator Brandon Freeman said:
“Until now if you saw some dodgy driving there’s nothing you could do about it but tell your mates when you got home.
“Now with my new app Spot Check you can tell that driver exactly what you think and cut down on dangerous driving.
“I’m proud to be starting public testing of the app here in Dudley, and as we grow I’ll be hiring straight from the local talent pool to put Dudley on the tech map.”
Dudley MP Ian Austin said:
“It’s fantastic to see a local lad come up with an idea like this to make driving safer.
“I’ve asked motoring and cycling organisations I’ve worked with as Chairman of Parliament’s All-Party Cycling Group to look at the new app.
“It’s great to see Brandon launching the app here in Dudley. It just goes to show that education and skills can bring new business to our town.”
