Local firm launches 'Careers in the Classroom' scheme

Local firm Thomas Dudley Ltd has launched a new scheme to bring career advice and planning into the classroom.

The firm’s 'Careers in the Classroom' scheme provides schools with presentations from a range of local professionals and businesses, as well as a website with careers advice for students.

Dudley MP Ian Austin attended a demonstration of the programme on Friday and is encouraging other local businesses to take part.

Ian Austin said:

“The great thing about Careers in the Classroom is that students get to see local people talking about their jobs, showing them the career they want is within reach.

“I want as many local businesses as possible to get involved and show local kids that with hard work the sky’s the limit.”
