MP hears from volunteers at Brierley Hill Project

Dudley MP Ian Austin is visiting the Brierley Hill Project to talk to volunteers about their work to support local people.

Austin will be visiting the project at South Street, Brierley Hill DY5 2RR at 2pm on Wednesday 1st June.

Austin is joining local organisations across Dudley to help mark national Volunteers’ Week and celebrate the contribution that volunteers make across the borough.

The Brierley Hill Project was established in 2008 to help local people with crisis support, finding a job, training, mentoring and other services. The charity is supported by the Amblecote Christian Centre and South Street Baptist Church.

Austin was previously in touch with the Project’s volunteers to get support for Gornal residents hoping to reopen their local youth club. He is now visiting the Project to find out more about how he can support their work in the borough.

Ian Austin said:

“I know from the contact I have had with volunteers at the Brierley Hill Project that they are doing brilliant work to support people across the borough.

“I’m looking forward to finding out what more I can do to help support them.”
