Sedgley church opens new café

Dudley MP Ian Austin is to attend the official opening of a new café at St Andrew’s Church in Sedgley.

Austin has been invited to attend the opening of the new café which will provide local residents with a place to meet up and chat. The café will be offering up teas, coffees and biscuits every Monday to Friday, 9am – 4pm.

St Andrew’s Church provides a great amount of support to the local community and the new facilities will enable them to extend this support and continue the great work they do.

The cafe has been funded by grants from 25 trusts and organisations including the Landfill Communities Fund, as well as local people who contributed towards the overall cost of the project.

The opening will take place at St Andrew’s Church, Bilston Street, Sedgley on Saturday 4th October between 10 and 11am.

Ian Austin said:

“St Andrew’s Church is doing excellent work for local residents. I think the new facilities will be great for the local community. It’s brilliant to see the church put together successful bids to fund this brilliant project.”
