TV STAR RACHEL RILEY COMES TO DUDLEY

Dudley North MP Ian Austin has invited TV superstar Rachel Riley to visit Dudley this week.

The Countdown “Numbers Lady” will be talking to school pupils and students about her love for maths before helping raise funds for the YMCA’s Open Doors project which helps homeless and vulnerable youngsters.

Rachel Riley competed in Strictly Come Dancing and appears in 8 out of 10 Cats.

She also co-presented The Gadget Show and It’s Not Rocket Science.

She’ll be visiting Dudley College’s Priory Road campus at 11.45 on Thursday 19th September.

Ian Austin said:

“I’m from Dudley, I love the place and I want local youngsters to have big ambitions and all the help, support and encouragement they need to fulfil them.

"Who better than a TV star like Rachel to inspire them about maths and science?

“And isn’t it fantastic that she’s taking time out to help us raise funds for the YMCA’s Open Doors project which does so much to help homeless young people.”
